thumbs up. you couldn't hold in the smile that curled on your lips as you re-read the comment. exiting your profile and going to dms, you didn't scroll far to reach the desired contact.
'saw you asked for me the other night' you typed, turning you phone off after so you could slip in your bed and shut your eyes for the night. it had been a long day for you and now that you were finally back in your hotel you couldn't wait for some proper rest.
but maybe you could stay up a little longer. Once your phone buzzed from on the nightstand you'd snatched it and unlocked it. 'we were playing fifa and i wanted to beat you' you couldn't feel the wide smile that stuck on your face. 'fifa you say? i might not have my console with me but i have some free time and my soccer shoes' you typed back quickly seeing he was still online and in the chat.
'what do you have in mind?' if your smile could have gotten any bigger, it would've. you sat up looking around your room. after a few seconds of thinking you looked back down at your phone. 'see you in jeddah?'

The weather didn't bother you that much. you barely ever wear revealing clothes so wearing modest clothes didn't feel odd. you were too busy dribbling the football to be bothered by something irrelevant as clothes anyways, especially since max was chasing you and trying to steal the ball away.
Unlike the dutch who didn't waste any of his time going over to jeddah, you arrived during the evening, sometime after four. it was only at 5:30 did the two of you decide to actually go through with the plan of having a small football match together.
You were very surprised that the dutchman had accommodated for your time together at his hotel, somehow managing to book the tennis courts and take out the nets so you could makeshift a football field. It was a single goalie match, your shoes that you never got to wear making where the goal was.
"That's cheating." You huff-laughed, pushing him back with your shoulder. You must not have been in race mode because Max's reaction time skills were still on. in your moment of weakness he was able to steal the ball and take his shot to the bake shift goal. "Yea!" He cheered throwing his hands up, dabbing.
Crouched down on your knees, you tried to hold in a laugh at max. "That doesn't cpunt! You cheated!" You accused, getting back up on your feet. the time was sometime in early 6 and the sky had taken a nice gold and orange colour. "Contact!" Max fiend hurt as you you pushed your side into his sending him a couple of steps to regain his balance. "a 5-second time penalty for ms. L/N." "A fine for mr. verstappen." "A fine?" max put a hand on his chest making a shocked face. "Oh dear, go easy my bank account."
"Hmm" you put your hands on your hips, pretending to think. "I'm sorry mr. verstappen, but it's pretty big fine." "oh no. How much?" he played along, pretending to be worried and shocked.

"It's bad they don't serve wine here, I'd be getting two gorgeous bottles of 1945 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti." You hummed, whispering about the wine once the waiter severed your table and left. "1945 what?" Max chuckled as took a sip of his drink ( which was actually just redbull in a fancy glass ) before picking up his fork to begin with the mini feast you ordered.
"Expensive french stuff." you shrugged, starting to eat from your own plate. "How expensive." He asked, chewing and looking at you. You gave another shrug, drinking your own drink (which was also just redbull in a fancy glass) to help swallow. "about 558k?" Max chocked on his food momentarily and you laughed at his reaction.

"Hooch, hooch, hooch," Abril slammed her eyes shut and crossed her fingers, as if it all helped the completion of the 'spell'. "I feel as if the folks from the 20's were freaks, all that post-war liberation, I think fucking one could be an experience," she explained herself, already glad for the distraction, more than happy to focus on random semantics of fucking someone from the previous century rather than what had been plaguing her mind recently.
"If this is you're way of flirting with me, you're doing a great job and the answer is yes," the brunette laughed as she eyed the intricately decorated bottle. "But you really are a mystery, Ella Cooper. A life long Tonopah native yet you have friends in Switzerland?" she questioned, more out of curiosity than anything else, although she understood how, Ella seemed to have a natural way about themselves, their easy-going nature must make friends where ever they go.
Despite her specific request for absinthe, Abril had never indulged in it before, and found herself following Ella's lead, taking sips rather than shooting it like she had considered. "--You're providing me with alcohol, I really should be the one offering you all of the above."
"I mean it does if you call it hooch. Say hooch three times and a guy from the 1920s will pop up right in front of you." Ella laughed as they moved behind the bar to stand in front of Abril. "You having a rough day? Just for you though, I've got exactly what you need." Ella knew that people were tense since the ball, especially with all of the uncertainty of who was behind it. Being merely an associate of the Enteprise, Ella really had no insight. But they imagined that within the meeting rooms of Los Santos or the Sons, conversations were being had that were less than pleasant. They had basically put everyone on notice but Ella felt like most of their secrets weren't even that juicy. So they would keep running their business the way they always had until there was a problem that actually needed to be addressed.
They set a glass in front of Abril and reached underneath the bar to grab a bottle of absinthe that had been special delivery. "My friend from Switzerland bought this directly to me. I only pull it out on special occasions, this one hasn't even been open. But for you?" They easily popped the top off and poured Abril a glass before taking out a glass for themselves and pouring a bit. They weren't trying to get too drunk at the moment with how much of the night was left but they weren't going to let Abril drink alone. "Salud." They drank a few sips before leaning their arms on the bar. "What else can I get you, beautiful? You hungry? You wanna dance? You need a pep talk? A little smooch? I am at your service."

** Disclaimer ** - I am NOT a professional graphic designer, however I did work with many of them for different occasions and I have been designing my own things for over 10 years now. All the knowledge I have and share with you in this post was gathered by me over the course of 14 years.
I recently started my font series, where I shared my favourite fonts of different typefaces. People have been requesting to post my favourite font pairings and as much as I love to do that (and I also will, just scroll down to the end of the post to see them), I think it’s also important for you to understand, why they work together nicely and what you should look out for, if you plan on pairing typefaces yourself.
Understanding fonts and typefaces
There are so many to choose from nowadays. You have probably scrolled through the JUNGLE of fonts that you can find online nowadays, some are free, some aren’t and they all go by different category names:
Serif - Sans Serif - Script. All of them can also be Display fonts.
What do they mean?
A serif is a small line or a stroke attached to the end of a larger stroke. So all the little strokes that I circled in red. The most common serif font is probably Times New Roman, which I also used in the picture above (hence TNR).
Arial is a sans serif font, and also one of the most common ones. Sans serif is translated from french, sans meaning “without” - so it’s basically a font without the little strokes, much more clean and modern looking.
Now let’s move on to script fonts, which are more commonly known as handwritten or brushed fonts. Bombshell pro is a script font based on the looks of modern hand lettering.
Display fonts can be fonts from all the different typefaces above. They’re usually used in larger sizes for e.g. headlines or logos, instead of bodies of texts, like Times New Roman or Arial are mostly used for. Abril Display (I used it in a bold weight) is a display font, as well as a serif font.
Now that you know the differences between these typefaces, let’s dive into the different font weights.
Many serif, sans-serif and display fonts come in different weights (thin, light, normal/regular, bold, extra bold, black.. you name it). This is important as it plays a fundamental role in pairing fonts together.
Playing with different weights can help you underline the importance of the text you’re writing. I keep bolding phrases and words throughout this post, so you know to keep these in mind PLUS it’s easier to find the part of the post you are interested in. This also works for headlining on your graphics or gifsets!
Pairing different font weights
I will use the simple phrase “I will remember you” throughout the following part of this post.
First you need to figure out what you want to highlight. Do you want to highlight, that you will REMEMBER them? Or do you want to highlight that you specifically remember THEM (in the phrase ‘you)? Lay it all out for yourself, so you know exactly what to do.
The difference with these two examples isn’t too big, as you might have noticed. I used the regular and bold types for these examples. However, fonts like Avenir or Helvetica come with thin or even ultra light versions and you have more to play around with.
Script fonts usually don’t come in different weights, however you can utilise Photoshop to apply its bold addition to the fonts. It usually doesn’t look too nice though, so be warned!
Also, script fonts are harder to pair with one another, because it’s easier to cause an ‘overload’ for our eyes with pairing them depending on their level of ... let’s call it fanciness.
Now, you can pair the different weights together like this, centred.. and boring.. or you can play around with different font sizes, weights, kerning (click here to find out what kerning is) and positions. It’s fun, I promise! Just make sure you don’t forget which word(s) you want to emphasise!
Pairing DIFFERENT FONTS with each other
Now here’s the part people have asked for haha.
The first thing I want you to understand is, that the less is merrier does apply in this case. I personally n e v e r pair more than three fonts together (and I only use three different fonts for an entire corporate design including a website), two usually work the best!
For two different fonts to work nicely together, you (again) have to think about what you want to emphasise and create some kind of hierachy. In order to create an appealing design, you need to catch the viewers attention to the word or phrase you want. Create a focal point, something the eye is immediately drawn to. And then you add to it with simplicity. You really have to think about what you want to be seen first and what you want to be seen second (on the base of using two different fonts).
Take a look at the fonts you have chosen. Display and script fonts usually need to be a larger size to be readable or to make them look good, so you probably want to use that one as the top of your hierachy. Also fonts with a heavier font weight tend to work better as the leading font. To accompany your leading font, choose a thinner, more simplistic companion. Why? Because if you use two heavy fonts or two fancy fonts (script, black, brushed etc.), your eyes will have a hard time concentrating on who is more important.
I hope this example helps you to understand what I mean. In the first picture you see the whole thing as ONE block, because your eyes don’t know where the exact focal point lies. They don’t know which word they should concentrate on. The second one, however, gives your eyes clear instructions on where the importance of the quote/phrase lies.
Now how do you find out, if two fonts actually go together? Sometimes it’s also about the look of the whole design in general, if two fonts go well together or not. However, there are some things you can look for before you pair fonts:
Have a look at the weight, spacing/kerning, strokes in general and their width to figure out, if the two fonts you have chosen are different enough from each other, to actually pair well. Fonts that are too similar to each other have the same effect as shown above. At the same time please also keep in mind, that they have to have some similarities, such as their general proportions and heights. If these parameters are too different, it might doesn’t look as good (there are some cases where you can make it work though, but you need to play around a little here).

Summary: Yami Sukehiro just wanted to join the Magic Knights and make his mentor proud. He knew there would be trails. He knew trouble would come his way. Knew he would be faced with discrimination for being a foreigner and a peasant. What he didn’t know. Didn’t expect. Was that literal Chaos would come his way. That he and his mentor’s sister would be at the center of world ending trouble. Or that he would fall in love with his mentor’s sister and face more than discrimination; but the jealously of Nozel Silva who loved the same woman he did.

Chapter 91
The next day Yami woke-up and got to the breakfast table later than usual. Entering the dining hall, he took in Teris’ empty seat and frowned.
Sitting at his spot to the left of Jax’s empty seat, Yami asked Tobin. “Teris come down yet?”
“Why you asking me when you can sense her mana?” Tobin questioned, shoveling another forkful in his mouth.
“Just answer the damn question.” Yami snapped, not willing to admit he’d agreed not to track Teris’ mana when they were at home. Teris saying some nonsense about privacy.
Tobin shrugged. “Haven’t seen her.”
“She was up and busy before I was. And I was up before dawn making breakfast.” Abril said.
Yami quirked a brow wondering if Teris had gone to bed at all.
“What’d you do?” Tobin asked, looking at Yami.
Yami started in on his food. “Don’t know what you mean.”
Bran looked down the table at Yami, wondering if he should tell him.
Tobin smirked. “You two went out riding last night. What happened? Push for a little too much?”
“Don’t be crass.” Abril scolded Tobin. Looking back at Yami, she told. “But Teris was mad as hell about something.”
“I’ll fix it.” Yami snipped.
“No doubt.” Tobin grinned.
“She left.” Bran blurted.
Even Gendry lifted his eyes from his plate at that.
Bran swallowed under Yami’s brooding stare and explained. “I was woken up by a pack of Saber Cats making a ruckus. Knowing they’d disturb the Wolves, I got up and used my magic to ride the Alpha and lead the pack away. Teris was already up.”
So she probably hadn’t gone to bed, Yami thought. Damn it. She really was mad.
“She say where she was going?” Yami asked, hoping Teris would be back before supper so they could set things right and possibly got out for another ride.
Bran shook his head. “No. Only that she’d be back in a couple days.”
“What!” Yami stormed.
Sitting to the right of Teris’ empty spot, Abril saw the fork in Yami’s hand bend in his grip.
Muttering a stream of curses, Yami threw the utensil down. Seeking out her mana, he sensed Teris somewhere in the direction of Rizon. He had half a mind to track her down but refrained.
Getting to his feet, Yami barked. “Gendry. I need your help resetting a post for the training pens.”
Gendry looked up. “What happened?”
Ignoring the question, Yami told. “I’ll be out there. Join me when you’re done.”
Still chewing, Gendry wiped his mouth and got to his feet.
Yami was halfway to the door when he called. “Could use your help too, Bran.”
Bran shot out of his seat but was able to stop himself from dashing to Yami’s side.
Despite his sour mood, Gendry smiled.
Tobin looked over his shoulder watching the three men go. He turned back to Abril. “Couldn’t help but notice you weren’t talking Gendry’s ear off. You two have a fight too?”
Frowning, Abril got up leaving Tobin alone at the table.

Having used his magic to form another post and drive it into the ground, Gendry stood back. Yami lifted the training pens heavy gate. Standing by the post, Bran helped guide the gates hinges in place.
“So what’d you and Teris fight about?” Gendry asked.
“We didn’t fight.” Yami snapped. He looked to make sure Bran’s fingers were out of the way and lowered the gate.
Undeterred by Yami’s temper, Gendry pressed. “Then why’d she leave without telling you?”
“Cause she’s hurt, angry, and a stubborn, stupid, prideful brat.” Yami found himself getting angrier at Teris’ behavior. He could understand her being upset. And while he hadn’t liked it, he could even understand her leaving him the way she had last night. But for her to leave for two days without word or letter left for him... That Yami could not understand, and refused to let become the norm for future disagreements.
“Abril and I are fighting.” Gendry confessed.
Bran looked at Gendry. Yami kept his back turned, hoping his friend would stop there.
Gendry jutted a chin at Bran. “Your friend. Ricte. Abril’s been corresponding with him since you all took Vanessa to your folks. She called me stupid. Says that they’re just friends. But I saw the way he looked at her.”
“He likes her.” Bran needlessly confirmed. He frowned at the ground, feeling as if he had betrayed Gendry because his best boyhood friend liked Abril.
Yami sighed. He could relate to what Gendry was feeling. Granted Teris realized sometime back, and fairly early in their relationship that Nozel did have feelings for her passed those of mere friendship. But that hadn’t made things easier. While he didn’t have to trust Nozel in order to trust Teris with Nozel; that didn’t mean there weren’t issues.
Yami turned to Gendry. He wasn’t good at helping people with their feelings. But he knew how to blow off steam.
“Wanna take the wolves out with me?” Yami asked.
Gendry nodded.
“Sounds good to me.” Bran said. His head ducked when Yami looked at him.
“Hope you don’t cower like that if we come across that pack of Saber Cats.” Yami said.
“I won’t.” Bran promised, brightening.
“He rides with you.” Yami told Gendry.

“I heard you let Captain Jax give all but one member of his squad two days off to go to some girls birthday party.” Jorah said.
Seated before the Wizard Kings desk, Greywright continued to read through reports. “The Black Bulls have been through a lot.”
Jorah smirked at the Knights Commander’s excuse. Lowering his quill, he looked up at the man. “Other squads have lost members over the years. Members certainly more honorable and beloved than Bronn Rendel ever was.”
“And if their Captain's had requested two days leave for their squad during those occasions, I might've allowed it.” Greywright said.
“So you only allowed it because Captain Jax asked and the Bulls lost their Vice Captain?” Jorah questioned.

“You allowed the Black Bulls two days off to go to some party as easement for losing their Vice Captain five months ago?”
“There’s no time period on grief, sir.”
“True.” Jorah allowed. “And if the Black Bulls were indeed grieving the loss of their Vice Captain, I might find your answers somewhat believable. But we all know that, though Bronn Rendel’s death was a distressing and unfortunate loss, no one but maybe Captain Jax and retired Senior Healer Gilly Shae are mourning him.”
“What are you trying to say, sir?”
Jorah smirked, eyes twinkling. “Your favoritism is showing.”
“Is not.” Greywright frowned.
“So you finally admit you have a favorite?” Jorah teased.
“I…” Greywright stared, at a loss for words.
Jorah’s smile grew into a toothy grin. “After all these years of you getting after me, chastising me like a child--”
“I would never dare chastise you, sir.”
“--pointing out my displays of favoritism for Julius; Magic Knights Commander Greywright Solas is guilty of the same.” Jorah went on.
“I am not. I--”
Jorah looked at him expectantly.
Greywright ran a hand roughly over his face. He sat back, forgotten reports lowering to his lap. “I am, aren’t I. I’m a hypocrite.”
“Don’t be so hard on yourself, Commander. Though I caution you to be more mindful.”
Greywright straightened. “Why? Who complained?”
“No one. Yet. Even if you did it mainly to give your favorite a respite, I think most would agree that the Blacks Bulls have been through a lot and deserved a break. But show such ease and preference again, and I doubt the other Captain's would be so understanding or forgiving.”
Greywright nodded. “Yes, sir. Understood, sir. Sorry.”
Jorah picked up the quill, the two men returning to work.
After a moment, Jorah asked. “So your truly like Teris Nova for your position?”
“She’s still got a lot to learn and ways grow.”
“Well of course. She’d have to be a Grand Magic Knight to even be considered for such a role.” Jorah said.
“Never mind you being ready and willing to retire.” Greywright pointed out.
Jorah inclined his head, always appreciative when his Commander reminded him that he would stick with him till the end. “But that’s not what I asked.”
Greywright paused, considering his words. Finally, he said. “If she keeps growing in the direction she has been and is ranked Grand Magic Knight whenever you do decide to retire, yes. I plan on putting her name forth and suggesting her as Magic Knights Commander to the new Wizard King, as is my right.” He met Jorah’s gaze. “I see no reason why your favorite shouldn’t have the best severing him as Knights Commander, and fully believe Teris Nova is and will undoubtedly be the best.”
“Doubtful she will be a Nova by then.” Jorah replied.
“Her name and societal rank are of no matter to me. It’s not as if the hierarchy gets a say in who becomes Knights Commander. If they did, you’d be putting up with someone else.”
Jorah ignored Greywright’s sardonic comment. “It wouldn’t look good. Julius naming his sister as his Knights Commander.”
Greywright didn’t mention that Julius becoming Wizard King wasn’t a certainty; because it all but was. Instead he said. “If and when Julius is made Wizard King, he will no longer have a sister, or any family for that matter. A person must cut familial ties and cast aside their family name, taking on a new one, before they’re sworn in as Wizard King. You know that better than anyone, sir.”
“She’s stubborn and prideful.”
“All great Knights Commander’s are.” Greywright quipped.
“She has a temper, and from what I hear can hold a grudge.”
Greywright frowned, remembering his angry disappointment at Teris for being part of the disturbance the night of the Star Awards. “If you recall, I once did too. As I said, she’s still got a lot to learn and ways grow.”
Jorah scratched his jaw and sighed. “You really set on this course, aren’t you?”
“I understand it won’t be without it’s struggle.” Greywright said.
“Or there may be no struggle at all.”
“Sir?”
Jorah sat back, lacing his fingers. “Only a citizen of the Clover Kingdom can serve the role of Knights Commander. If Teris refuses to obey her family’s command to wed Nozel Silva, she may very well be banished before we ever get to the point where you can suggest her for such a position.”
Greywright opened his mouth, but no words can out.
“I suppose I now have a personal reason to see Teris Nova isn’t banished even if she selfishly follows through with her threat to disregard her familial duty.” Jorah uttered, more to himself.
“Sir?”
Jorah’s eyes fixed on Greywright. “I already told you, for the safety of this kingdom I will not allow Yami Sukehiro or Teris Nova to leave, either by force of banishment or by will.”
Greywright stared. “But… How?”
“Like I do with all things. Watch events carefully. Tread as lightly as possible. And when things come to a head, take quick decisive action only if and when I must.” Jorah gave Greywright a wink as he took up his quill once more. “Don’t you worry, Commander. I will do my duty to keep this kingdom safe by seeing what could be the greatest weapon we’ve ever known kept in our hands; and in the process, see your favored hopeful remains here to get a chance to one day take your place.”

Yami returned sweaty and dirty from the long ride with Gendry and Bran. They had found the pack of Saber Cats, scattering them and killing a few. Two separate mission orders had been waiting upon his return. Bran volunteered for one. And Yami had sent him out with Abril; sending Tobin and Gendry out on the other.
Jax had given Venice five days leave to visit her family. So she hadn’t returned with them from Bran’s parents, instead traveling to her family home. With Olsen yet to return from last light, and Teris and Jax gone, Yami found himself at the base alone with Iban.
After a long hot bath and meal, Yami entered Iban’s lab to find the man measuring some black liquid out with a dropper.
“Vice Captain. To what do I owe--” Iban’s words were cut off, Yami spinning him around.
A large, strong hand wrapped around Iban’s throat. Yami slammed the Blood Mage back against the table and squeezed. Iban gurgled, fighting the instinct to claw at Yami’s hand.
Grip easing, Yami demanded. “What are you playing at telling Teris I came down here asking questions?”
“I assumed you shared everything with your counterpart.”
“Liar!” Yami spat, fingers digging in for a second. “Your little ritual is Black Magic. Olsen told me as much.”
“Not that you needed him to.” Iban taunted, unphased by the threat of Yami’s hand around his throat.
“If you wanted me to agree to the thing, you canceled any chance of that last night.”
“We’ll see.”
Ignoring the smug tone, Yami went on. “And the other. You’re not getting Teris’ blood or anything else from her. Speak to her of deals like that again and I’ll end you.”
“The lady doesn’t belong to you yet, Yami Sukehiro.”
Yami’s hand squeezed. Iban had a point. Teris didn’t belong to him yet. But he already belonged to her. She was his Princess. His purpose. His life. And he would see her protected. Even if it was from her own insatiable curiosity.
“This isn’t one of your bargains, you creepy overgrown mosquito. Speak to Teris of deals again and you die. You so much as listen to her ask questions and offer anything in exchange. You die. Get near her long enough for any of the like to be done. And you die. Is that understood.”
“Is this in place of the previous guidelines or in additi--” Iban gurgled, Yami’s hand tightening.
“You want to die now? Doubt anyone will care enough to look too hard into what happened. No one but maybe Olsen will miss you.” Yami turned his head to the side, leaning in. “What’s that? I can’t hear you.”
Released with a shove, Iban coughed, sucking in lungfuls of air.
“Give me another reason to come down here and deal with you and I’ll crush your neck.” Yami snarled.
Iban shivered, but not from Yami’s threat. There was a biting cold radiating off the man. “You’re feeling invincible, Vice Captain. And rightly so. The time of Darkness is rising. But you won’t always be this powerful. If you survive your time of trial, you will face Chaos. A force neither Life nor Death could hope to survive. My offer still stands. I can help you remember what the page of Chaos speaks to you.
“So you can go telling Teris?”
“A misjudgment on my part. It won’t happen again.”
“You’re right. Cause there’ll be nothing for you to tell her or anyone else.” Yami snapped. “It’s not happening, Creepy. It’s Black Magic.”
“Which you knew when I first mentioned it. Or are you still pretending that you did not?” Iban smirked.
Iban could tell Yami was interested. Yami wasn’t a fool. He knew his time was coming. That the Agents of Chaos would want him and Teris again so they could continue what they started. Even if Yami didn’t care about himself. His desire to protect Teris was a weakness that made him easily manipulated.
“I never got to tell you what the spell entailed. Do you still wish to know?” Iban tempted, gold eyes shimmering in the candlelight.
With Teris mad and hurt over this secret, the answer took little thinking. Yami turned away, making for the stairs. “No.”
“You know where to find me should you change your mind.” Iban called after him.

graphics guide
a guide filled with basic info, tips, and answers to common questions that i hope helps people who want to start making graphics
*this was made based on my experiences of making graphics and is what i thought was important to cover but everyone has different ways and approaches so dont feel the need to follow everything on here
what is a graphic?
a graphic (also known as ‘gfx’) is a image edit that incorporates various elements (textures, filters, text, etc) in order to visualize a idea or to create a aesthetic composition
unlike making gifs, there is no right or proper way to make a graphic so dont get too caught up in the idea that a graphic should look a certain way - just stick with your style and what you think looks good
anatomy
image/subject
usually the main focus of the whole graphic
you should always try to use a sharp hd picture - getting it from the original source is always the best option
make sure the source of the picture allows editing - pictures from public sources like a company or the news can be edited while fansite pics and scans need to have permission asked (and if they give you permission make sure you link them when you post your graphic!)
coloring
often referred as ‘psd’ because that is the format they are in (i.e. pink psd pack)
comprise of multiple layers that can alter the images look
a lot of people make their own colorings since the outcome of the look also depends on the image’s original coloring
textures
smaller cut out images that are often used to decorate the graphic
can also refer to a image that can be use as a background of a graphic
can be found in the form of a png (copy + paste into graphic) or a brush (”painted” on to the graphic)
avoid using any textures that does not state the original poster made them - you could unintentionally be using someone’s work that was not made to be used [read more about it here + resources that you can actually use]
text
text can be used to tell information or just for decoration
try to choose fonts and colors that are legible

what software can i use to make graphics
most people use some version of photoshop (i currently use photoshop cc 2018) and a lot people have it cracked but if you cant afford photoshop, find a cracked version or a patcher (i used adobe zii 3.0.4 for mac), or are uncomfortable with getting a cracked version then there are other softwares that are just as good!
i can only vouch for gimp since i used it when i first started making gfxs. it is very similar to photoshop and shares most of the same tools and has a similar look to photoshop. it is also probably the most popular photoshop alternative and would totally recommend it if you cant get photoshop!

where do you get your pictures from
official sources such as teasers companies release, photos released by press, photos from idol’s instagram - basically photos that are made for the public to see are whats best to use for a gfx. you should download the photos straight from the source so you get it at its highest quality
some phrases you can use to search for pictures on google: - [group name] photoshoot - [idol name] press - [group name] showcase - [idol name] teaser
remember the more specific you are in your search the better! also when you search through google make sure you check your source!
avoid getting photos from reposting websites like we heart it and pinterest avoid using fansite pictures and scans unless you are granted permission
i don’t know where to start/i’m overwhelmed and i don’t know what to do/ where should i begin
figure out what you want to make or a theme you want to follow - do you want to make a simple graphic or a infographic? do you want it to center around a certain theme like a comeback or a photoshoot? once you determine what you want to do it becomes easier getting ideas and finding stuff you will need for the gfx
example thought process: “i want to make a loona graphic” → do you want it to be the whole group or a certain member or unit? will it just be a simple gfx or a AU gfx or based on a event that the group is doing? “i’ve decided on doing a kim lip one” → do you want it to have a certain theme like kim lip smiling or kim lip with blonde hair? is there a certain frame of time in which you want the graphic to represent like during eclipse era or hi high era? “i want it to be from max and match era with her teasers” → from here you can start finding pictures to use and thinking of colors and textures that would fit your theme
where do you get ideas/inspiration from
i mean it’s different for everyone but for me i literally just think of stuff and i’m like wow i want to make that happen asdfsdfj but mostly when i see pictures or watch something thats where i suddenly get a idea
but tumblr is full of graphic makers!!! ive seen so many amazing graphics from various fandoms like kpop, anime, marvel, etc.
some amazing graphic editors i know myself include: primirene, ireone, nctjaemin, celo-mar, 1hyungseo, jeongahn, haechxnie, sonxiumin, syua, lulumelody, dinomite, lovelyeo, joohys, whatchatalkabout, yveu, maerinah, mihyon, lorbits, cherryjennie, thatporcelain, monoka, ifbin, 7ww
some other places you can look at are behance (dont go on behance if you have a cracked ver of ps - it might trigger a ingenue software alert that is a huge pain to deal with), pinterest, deviantart, dribble, and probably any social media platform if you just look up #graphicdesign
remember if you take inspiration from someone’s work then you should cite them in your caption - if you are afraid that you might’ve accidentally copied someone when you were trying to take inspiration from them its best to either try to remake the gfx again or just to ask the creator permission if its fine if certain details are similar/same
my stuff sucks how do i get better
literally just keep on making stuff aka practice. you can’t improve if you don’t bother putting effort.
ways i’ve forced myself into practicing making gfxs is by: 1) starting a gfxs series - its self paced and is based on what you want to make (i.e. introducing my biases gfx series, my favorite outfits gfx series, etc) 2) taking in requests - people who would request from you probably like your stuff so its a win win situation (i.e. send me a idol + era, send me your bias + palette, send me a group and i’ll make a gfx of my fav member, etc)
tips
only sharpen your pictures after you are done resizing them, if you sharpen and then resize it might result in a more blurry or grainy picture
always save your graphic every 5-10 mins in case photoshop crashes
have two copies of your image cutout: one will be the original and the other one will be the one you edit with - in case you mess up like over erasing or over sharpening your image you have a back up you can use
stick with a color palette so you don’t get overwhelmed when having to color everything and it makes all the graphic panels you have look more cohesive
on photoshop you can favorite fonts!!! take advantage of it!!! your computer has a lot of fonts saved on it and it takes forever to look through a whole list of fonts so by favoring fonts you can see all of the fonts that you like to use for graphics
combine a png pack to one psd → when you open a png pack you will probably get a lot of png files and it gets annoying having a lot of tabs open in photoshop when most of them are just textures so by putting all of those pngs into one psd you can cut down the files you open and can easily see all of your options
make folders dedicated to colorings and textures that way you can easily access them instead of looking through your computer for a certain file
name your layers... i dont do it because its easy for me to tell what layer is what but when you are working with a lot of layers its best just to name them it’ll make life easier
lock your main image/subject so that when you play with texts’ and textures’ location you don’t accidentally move your main image
use curves to help get a photo back to its original coloring! like if you have a photo that has a weird filter on it just use curves and it’ll help the picture look more natural! [tutorial]
try warping your text to make it stand out more! you can access it by pressing the icon on the top text bar that has a T with a curved line under it. i use flag and wave the most
alter a particular color by using a selective color layer
rather than changing the actual color of an image/texture you can: create new layer → select the image/texture and color it on the new layer instead of on top of the image/texture → change the opacity or the mode of the layer so that the color is put on the image/texture while keeping its detailing and not affecting the actual image/texture
resources
colorings: can be found on deviantart or tumblr just look up ‘psd coloring’ or ‘[color] psd’
textures: can be found on deviantart (check to see if its og content or stolen) simply just search what you are trying to find or ‘png pack’ or ‘texture pack’ common textures you can try to find: vintage flowers, memphis shapes, organic shapes, doodles other wesbites: pngtree, creative market, lost and taken, spoongraphics
fonts: if you are looking for a certain font then you can just do a google search but if you are browsing then dafont and font squirrel are really good websites too some of my favorite fonts: abril fatface, agfatumc, antonellie calligraphy, arcadeclassic, bebas neue, century gothic, couture, daily news 1915, dark larch, hondurhas, kotori rose, krinkles, risingstar, sant joan despi, studly, zing rust
color palettes: i made one myself which you can find here, color hunt, and honestly a quick google search will give you tons of options

May 8, 2020: King Felipe and Queen Letizia held a videoconference with the Anecoop Group. Felipe and Letizia valued the essential character of the Agri-food Sector and its ability to face complex situations. They indicated this in the videoconference with the president of ANECOOP, Alejandro Monzón García, the commercial director of ANECOOP, Miguel Abril Nevot, and the general director of ANECOOP, Joan Mir Piqueras, who have commented on the impact of COVID19 and the change that it is causing at all levels: productive, organizational, commercial and personal.
Among the measures adopted by ANECOOP is the creation of a coordination body, which assesses the general situation on a daily basis and contrasts it with a team of coordinators who are in permanent contact with the partners to have updated and constant information and to adapt their activities to the evolution of events; the rapid application of sanitary measures (teleworking has been promoted; currently 72% of the workforce is operating from home); assists partners in adopting the required safety and hygiene measures at their facilities and launching the “Life rations for the countryside” campaign, which highlights the strategic value of the agri-food sector as a strong sector capable of facing situations of enormous difficulty like the current one.
Among the main elements of concern that have exposed Don Felipe and Doña Letizia are the increase in requests for deferments of payment by clients and an increase in defaults, as well as the reduction and elimination of commercial risk coverage by of large insurers, the lack of labor, the unpredictability of demand in the current situation, changes in marketing channels and consumption trends, and the increase in transport costs and costs, due to the sanitary measures that it has had to be adopted in the fields and in the warehouses.
Regarding the products with which they work, they have also explained that citrus fruits have benefited from the situation, since their demand has skyrocketed in recent weeks, while sales of red and exotic fruits have fallen, especially when be perceived as more perishable and higher priced fruits. The sale of wines fell in the first weeks, since the collection focused more on the acquisition of essential products, but, in a second stage, there has been a certain upturn in the purchase of wines in supermarkets and department stores, although it is It is true that the closure of the hospitality channel, restaurants and cafes has had a very negative impact.
In the medium term, those responsible for ANECOOP hope to gradually recover normality, always taking into account the administrative recommendations to continue guaranteeing the safety of the workforce; that the role of the Spanish agri-food sector goes from being "unsustainable" to "irreplaceable" because society is becoming aware of the fundamental role of Spanish agriculture; that there is an increase in production costs due to the tightening of food safety regulations to adapt them to the post-Covid era and, finally, they expressed their concern over possible protectionist measures and campaigns of agricultural nationalism in key countries for the commercialization of Spanish products, as Spanish agriculture is clearly an exporter.
Today's meeting with ANECOOP is part of the contacts with the Spanish primary sector. In this case, contact with the citrus sector, stone fruits and vegetables has been maintained by the leading cooperative, which complements the videoconferences and telephone calls made to the Agricultural Council of Extremadura; the 3 most significant olive cooperatives in Andalusia; the largest wine cooperative (Virgen de las Viñas), in Tomelloso (Ciudad Real) and the Almería cooperative of greenhouses CASI. Citrus and stone fruit are at the center of Spanish agricultural exports, especially to Europe.
Founded in 1975, ANECOOP is an agri-food cooperative company that brings together 71 cooperatives and agricultural companies from 12 Spanish provinces with a social mass of 70,823 people, of whom 24,883 are agricultural partners, 21,118 are members of other types of services and 24,822 are employees . The sum of the total cultivation area of its members is 79,524.94 hectares of fruit trees, vegetables and vineyards.
Today, it is the leading fruit and vegetable company in the Mediterranean and one of the world's leading operators of citrus, watermelon and kakis. In this sense, ANECOOP markets its products in 83 countries, with Europe being the main destination for its sales with France, Germany and Spain at the top, followed by Poland, Italy, the United Kingdom, Sweden and the Czech Republic. In addition, it has five commercial offices located in strategic production areas within the national territory: Valencia, Murcia, Almería, Seville and Valle del Ebro.
In 2018-2019, ANECOOP Spain exceeded 842,000 tons of commercialized volume and 713 million euros of turnover. The consolidated of all the Group companies exceeded one million tons sold and 906 million euros of turnover.
Currently, the end of the citrus and greenhouse vegetables campaign in the south-east of Spain is being addressed and the stone fruit (peaches, nectarines, apricots, cherries, plums, etc.) and watermelon and melon campaign is beginning.
The stone fruit campaign starts this year with a general decrease in the harvest of between 20 and 25%, as a consequence of the adverse weather and the decrease in the cultivation area derived from the poor economic results of previous years.
In watermelon, the fruit in which they are the largest producer and marketer, especially in the “seedless” type, a harvest of 160,000 tons is expected, of which 85% corresponds to the different types of seedless watermelons. Last year 136,567 tons of watermelon were marketed for fresh consumption, with an export quota of just over 12% (the objective is to reach 14% this year).

Spanish Vocabulary - el calendario / calendar
Notes: All months and days of the week are considered masculine, and are never written with capital letters except if the entire word is in capital letters or it’s a proper name like Santo Domingo [which is either “Santo Domingo” the city, or “Holy Sunday”] or Miércoles de Ceniza “Ash Wednesday”
Additionally, all days of the week stay in their singular form, except for sábado “Saturday” and domingo “Sunday” which do change... So for example... los lunes, los martes, los miércoles, los jueves, los viernes, los sábados, los domingos
Most days of the week already end in an -S, so they stay “singular” in form but plural in the definite article so that you don’t have to add an additional -es to them. The days that do change for plural end in -O.
Additionally, you NEVER say en + day of the week to mean “on”... For that you use just use el or los... or sometimes para (though this depends on the context).
Los lunes tengo clase. = On Mondays I have class. Tengo clase los lunes. = I have class on Mondays.
Para el lunes tengo que escribir un ensayo. = For Monday I have to write an essay. / On Monday an essay I have to write is due. Es para el lunes. = It’s on Monday. / It happens on Monday. / It’s due on Monday. La cita fue programada para el lunes. = The appointment was scheduled/planned for/on Monday.
Months can be singular or plural since they all end in -O, -E, or a consonant that isn’t -S... los eneros, los febreros, los marzos, los abriles etc.

The time spent on Dele didn’t go wasted. Darreth was tending to the needs of the King, and Zakar, should they need him by his side. Small council meetings were necessary for the upcoming coronation, and this decision to marry the youngest of House Canalo seemed more and more apparent. It was a necessary decision to be made, but it weighed heavy on Darreth’s heart. Seeing Zakar having to go away and meet with someone, maybe Abril himself or other members of House Canalo, their time spent together seemed limited. There were a couple of times when they would promise to meet, but Zakar couldn’t make it due to having been requested elsewhere. Darreth would need to get used to that, as he would be king one day. And he would be at his side, being his Hand, fulfilling his duties, then letting Zakar retire how he pleased for the day.
They did have plans earlier but as predicted, Zakar was needed elsewhere and Darreth had the rest of the evening to himself. He had seen a lot of Dele so far, and had been with a few different men for his pleasure. He had noticed the prince, Emory, look his way a few times while they were in court, and have spoken a handful of times, even if it was just small talk. Darreth decided to pay him a visit, perhaps they could attend a show or take a walk. Darreth knew his manners as he was raised properly. He brought a bottle of fine whiskey when he came to visit the prince in his chambers. Although when the door opened, not much words were spoken between the two of them. Meaning, they were already sitting on the prince’s chaise lounge, lips attached to one another, holding each other close. Through whispers, Darreth had been told he had a bit of a nickname. The Gentleman’s Hand, a sort of play on being the new hand of King Mathias, but also it was sort of known Darreth knew how to make a man feel good. He’s been with plenty of noblemen, royals, regular men. Seemed as if stories went around, telling tales of how good Darreth was in bed. His kiss pulled back so he could press his lips to Emory’s neck, and he gently pulled the prince so close, he got him to straddle his lap. “May I?” Darreth asked, referring to the top the other wore, as he wanted to remove it from his torso. His excitement had grown hard, and he was sure the prince could feel it against his ass.

THE GOOD PHOTO AND THE BAD ONE
On April 2, 1948, Grandmother turned 80 years old. One month before her birthday, Lily, the eldest of us, commented that Grandma would be happy having a portrait with her grandchildren. So, Dad asked Uncle Alfonso, who was very artist and liked taking pictures, to come one day to take us a portrait with her.
For this purpose, Uncle placed us, at the request of Grandma, near the library of our late Grandfather, in order to get that in the future photo we could see his portrait in the background.
The first photo did not good, because Dad, who was behind Uncle, on his right, made us look at his hand suddenly, while he shouted, snapping his fingers: “Watch the birdie!”. Uncle Alfonso warned him to be quiet and ordered us to look at the camera when he said it. He was so serious that, although he asked us to smile, we appear a bit serious in the picture.
After revealing the photos, we all signed as we could on the back of the good photo. The text was headed by Mom with a dedication and my name, because I was too young to write with a fountain pen.

LA FOTO BUENA Y LA MALA
El 2 de abril de 1948 la abuela cumplió 80 años. Un mes antes de su cumpleaños Lily, la mayor de todos nosotros, comentó que a la abuela le haría ilusión tener un retrato con todos sus nietos. Asi que papá le pidió al tío Alfonso, que era muy artista y gustaba mucho de hacer fotos, que viniera un día a hacernos un retrato con ella.
Para tal fin, el tito nos situó, a petición de la yaya, cerca de la biblioteca de nuestro difunto abuelo, de manera que en la foto se pudiera distinguir su retrato al fondo.
La primera foto no fue buena, porque papá, que estaba detrás del tío, a su derecha, nos hizo mirar de repente a su mano, al tiempo que gritaba, dando chasquidos: "¡Atentos al pajarito!". El tío le advirtió que se callara y nos mandó que miráramos todos a la cámara cuando él lo indicara. Se puso tan serio que, a pesar de que nos pidió que sonrierámos, salimos un poco serios.
Después de revelar las fotos, todos firmamos como buenamente pudimos en el reverso de la foto buena. El texto lo encabezó mamá con una dedicatoria y mi nombre, porque yo era muy pequeña aún para escribir con estilográfica.

Introducción
Las residencias de investigación se plantean desde la perspectiva del apoyo mutuo. /PLATA es un lugar en construcción donde damos mucho valor a los propios ecosistemas del arte, intentando adaptarlos a las realidades familiares y profesionales de las distintas personalidades que trabajamos en ellos. Un programa de residencias debe entonces ser mucho más flexible, encontrando los tiempos y los espacios adecuados, mimando tanto a las personas como a los procesos en los que comúnmente nos adentraremos.
La convocatoria LUBNA de investigación para personas que se identifican como mujeres, busca a artistas, comisarias, activistas y en general cualquier investigadora que dedique su vida a prácticas que profundizan en el contexto presente desde una mirada crítica y creativa.
Objeto
Nuestro propósito es abrir Córdoba y su contexto cercano a nuevas perspectivas de estudio. Para ello seleccionaremos a una investigadora motivada a trabajar con nuestro equipo. Partimos de reescribir la historia local, la sociología, los estudios de género y la justicia social, el estado de la agricultura, el urbanismo, el colapso de la industria turística, la situación cultural y de las artes o la degradación económica, por citar algunos campos de investigación. Más allá de una visión académica, nos interesan nuevas miradas y la transmisión de mensajes que cuestionen las narrativas oficiales.
La convocatoria también pretende impulsar directamente la visibilidad de la mujer en las artes, especialmente aquellas que, tras construir un currículum interesante, se encuentran en una posición profesional injustamente débil en comparación con otras disciplinas.
Formalización de la residencia
El trabajo no tiene necesariamente que traducirse en una exposición. Sí pedimos como conclusión de la investigación un retorno público, ya sea en forma de conferencia, de taller, de publicación o en cualquier otro formato idóneo para establecer ciertas conclusiones sobre la investigación.
Tiempos
Nuestro primer criterio de selección es la profundidad y coherencia de la propuesta. Para un buen desarrollo de la misma, somos conscientes de la flexibilidad temporal necesaria. Dicho esto, ofrecemos un calendario orientativo que puede servir a la hora de redactar la solicitud.
El inicio de la beca es en el mes de abril, la formalización en otoño. En este período la ganadora deberá pasar al menos un mes en Córdoba, no necesariamente tiene que ser continuo. Nota: en los meses de verano el personal de /Plata puede no estar en la ciudad.

2. Durante la fase de producción (trabajo que puede iniciarse antes de tu llegada) te ofrecemos toda nuestra pasión, interés y acompañamiento. Introducción al contexto de la ciudad, presentación de recursos y personas relevantes para la investigación, paseos, visitas, salidas, comidas. También podemos ayudarte a participar en eventos de otras instituciones/asociaciones, así como en la gestión de acceso a archivos, etc. El equipo estará por ti, para darte cariño en el proceso, siempre atentos a la diversidad y sensibilidad de las personas.

Criterios de selección
La selección la realizará el jurado de /PLATA bajo los siguientes criterios:
Primero, recuerda que somos una entidad independiente y que nuestro carácter pasional nos hace muy sensibles a relacionarnos con personas que plantean proyectos innovadores tanto en las formas como en el contenido.
Segundo, indagaremos en el interés y la viabilidad de la propuesta.
Por último, valoraremos tus trabajos anteriores.
Plazo de solicitud
El plazo para enviar la solicitud es del 8 al 31 de marzo. Se comunicará el resultado de la selección final en la primera semana de abril.

Introduction
Research residencies at /Plata are approached with ideas and perspectives that include mutual support. /Plata is a growing organism, under construction, where great value is placed within the ecosystems of art, aiming to adapt these systems to both family and professional realities conducive to the different personalities of those who work within them. We believe that it is necessary for a residency program to be flexible, finding correct timing and space, taking care of both the people and the processes in which we will commonly go deeper.
The LUBNA open call for research grants for those who identify as women seeks artists, curators, activists and in general any researcher who dedicates her life to practices that delve into the present context from a critical and creative point of view.
Objective
Our purpose is to expose Cordoba -and its surrounding context- to new perspectives of study. In order to do so a selected jury will choose a motivated researcher to work with our team. Beginning with rewriting local history, sociology, gender studies and social justice, the state of agriculture, urbanism, the collapse of the tourist industry, the cultural situation and the arts or economic degradation- to name just a few fields of research. Beyond an academic vision, we are interested in new perspectives and the transmission of messages which question the official narratives.
The call also aims to directly promote the visibility of women in the arts, especially those who, after building an interesting curriculum, find themselves in an unfairly weak professional position compared to other disciplines and professional workers.
Formalization of the residency
The work created during the residency does not necessarily have to be translated into an exhibition. /Plata does request a gesture for the artist at the conclusion of the residency in either the form of a conference, workshop, publication or any other format suitable to establish certain conclusions which concentrate on the research conducted.
Timing
Our first criteria for selection is the depth and coherence of your proposal. In order for there to be progressive development within certain proposals, we are aware of the necessity for time flexibility. That said, we offer an indicative calendar that may be useful when writing your application.
The scholarship will begin in the month of April 2021 and will formalize in autumn. During this period the grant recipient must spend at least one month in Cordoba (not necessarily continuous). Note: in the summer months the staff of /Plata may not be in Córdoba.

2. During the production phase (work that can start before your arrival) we offer you all of our support, passion and interest. Upon arrival we will introduce you to the context of Córdoba, facilitating possible resources (including people relevant to the research) tours, visits, outings and meals. Endowment
-1500 euro
-Accommodation in a single room. (30 days maximum)
-Mothers of underage children and/or women with dependents: 200 euro per child and/or dependent (up to a maximum of 500 euro).
*Attention: the residency does not include medical insurance. It is compulsory for each resident to personally arrange medical insurance in the country of origin valid for the period of residence in Cordoba.

If you are a mother, you must submit a photocopy of birth certificates.

Selection process and criteria
The selection will be made by a jury of professionals selected by /Plata under the following criteria:
First it is important to remember that we are an independent entity and our passionate nature makes us very sensitive to relate to people who propose innovative projects both in form and content.
Second, we will investigate the interest and feasibility of the proposal.
Finally, we will evaluate your previous work.
Application deadline
The deadline for submitting the application is March 8-31.
Final selection results will be communicated in the first week of April.
